The Workers’ Development Forum (WDF) is a non-racial, non-partisan, and non-sexist organization
dedicated to empowering South African workers and promoting inclusive economic growth. Founded by
workers from various industries, WDF addresses workplace challenges and broader issues affecting livelihoods,
such as personal development, mental health, family wellness, and financial education.
The forum champions
socio-economic transformation by supporting previously disadvantaged groups and small businesses through
funding, compliance, and operational assistance.
In partnership with corporates, WDF fosters sustainable
employment, strengthens employer-employee relations, and drives community development to achieve fairness,
equity, and lasting socio-economic progress across South Africa.
At WDF we embrace that we are operating in diverse communities, with different cultures, with different economic realities and different life priorities. To ensure that the resolution of Inclusive Economic Growth is a lived reality, our services are therefore segmented into three priorities which consist of the following:
Our philosophy is that in order to have a sustainable economy that ensures economic growth for all, is to per-sue the following pillars as they have been proven time and again, generation after generation that they have a strong ability to ensure sustainable Inclusive Economic Growth.
The resolution taken by the stakeholders of the WDF is that in order to have sustainable economic growth there needs to be support dedicated to establishment and growth of SME's by offering them the following: *Compliance Support *Marketing Support *Operations Support *Financial Support(Funding)
is the key to economic inclusive growth and sustainable economy, this is done by addressing the injustices of the past, whereby most races were deliberately left outside these economic benefits. *Medical Insurance *Credit Life *Salary Protection *Funeral Cover *Life Cover *Banking
There is a general understanding that HEALTH is equal to WEALTH, but there are some demographics that have been excluded from the quality health services through high pricing, WDF seeks to close the gap for those who have and those who can't afford, by providing the following: *Unlimited Doctor Visits *Affordable Hospital Cover *Professional Nurse consultation Once a month. *Collection of Medication on behalf of our members
Education is the key to fighting poverty, as it is proven that the higher the education the lower the chances of experiencing poverty, especially applied knowledge, WDF therefore seeks to make education affordable for everyone through different partnerships that enable us to provide. *Learnership Assistance *Bursary Assistance *Study Aid Assistance *Free Drivers License (Code 8 and Code 10)
The culture of every community can determine the level of investment that should go to that particular community, for example where there's a lot of crime investment diminishes, crime is as a result of lack of activities, which is why WDF invest more on the following: *Sports Activities *Music Activities *Arts and Dance Activities
